Montreal, QC, Canada
In the heart of the Garden Cities of Montreal, an interior architecture project has transcended the ordinary to reinvent the shared living spaces of a residential building. Under the aegis of MAIDA, the “Les Cités Jardins Competition Project” stood out for its ingenuity, functionality and remarkable aesthetics, winning first prize in a prestigious competition.
This ambitious initiative aimed at the complete renovation of the common areas of the building, including the corridors and the reception area over a built area of 450m². Despite a constrained budget, MAIDA was able to implement creative and economical solutions to modernize and beautify these places of passage, transforming the daily experience of residents and breathing new life into the entire building.
Our mission was to orchestrate the design, 3D modeling, rigorous monitoring of the site, as well as the purchase of all the materials and furniture necessary to carry out this project. Every detail has been designed to harmonize aesthetics and functionality, with the aim of creating welcoming and warm spaces that reflect the community spirit of the Garden Cities.
Close collaboration with building stakeholders, particularly the concierge, was essential to the success of this project. Their testimony highlights the attention paid by Eddy Chayata and his team to the specific needs of the co-ownership, as well as their ability to offer innovative solutions while controlling costs.
The completion of the project in 2017 marked a turning point for Les Cités Jardins, demonstrating that with creativity and expertise, it is possible to transform spaces and significantly improve the quality of life of residents. This achievement is a testament to MAIDA's commitment to excellence in interior architecture and the power of innovation in the reinvention of collective living spaces.
